War Horse, a book written by Michael Morpurgo and now a major motion picture, is a story about the friendship shared between a boy and his horse. The story is told from the perspective of Joey, the horse. Joey recalls his days growing up on the farm with Albert, the boy, and his family, and the times leading up to his charging the enemy and carrying wounded soldiers in World War I.
