Children and students through grade 12 are encouraged to enter our annual Bookmark Contest in honor of National Library Week (April 10-16).

What's Cooler Than Being Cool?

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month!



Stop in anytime during the month of September and show a Librarian your new or existing Comsewogue Public Library card and enter a raffle for a chance to win tickets to the Long Island Aquarium and Exhibition Center, Long Island Game Farm or a raffle basket! 


To obtain a library card, (2) current proofs of residency, each containing your name and street address, are required. Children must be present to get a library card.

Celebrate El Dia @ CPL!

This week, we are celebrating El Día at CPL!


El Día is a daily celebration of children, families and reading that culminates on April 30th. Día recognizes and respects culture, heritage and language as powerful tools for strengthening families and communities.

Even if you can't make our Día program, you can celebrate families, diversity and literature every day @ your library!

New 'Seuss'-inspired Displays!




Swing by Children's & Teen Services throughout the month of March to pick up a book from from our new 'Seuss'-inspired displays.

Check out some classic Dr. Seuss books under our Truffula Trees. Or, find some of our favorite books by lifting up the racks under our librarians' photos.



As Dr. Seuss said, "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."

Do You Have the Smartest Card?

A library card is the smartest card in your wallet! It gives you access to free books, movies, music, homework help, eBook and audio book downloads, and so much more. If you don't have a library card, ask a parent to bring you to the library this September so you can sign up for one. 

Wait, because it gets better! Throughout the month of September, all new or existing Comsewogue Public Library cardholders are eligible to enter a raffle drawing. Winners will receive a 4-pack of tickets to the Long Island Aquarium and Exhibition Center. 

To obtain a library card, two (2) current proofs of residency, each containing your name and street address, are required. Children must be present to get a library card.
