Saturday is Take Your Child to the Library Day!


Drop by the library with your child and pick up an activity sheet at the Children's Reference Desk.  Children who complete three activities will receive a special surprise!

This is event will run all day @CPL on Saturday, February 2nd from 9:30am-5:00pm.

Calling All Writers and Wannabes

Are you a new writer, experienced writer...or just simply curious about writing?  Presented as an abecedarian (an alphabet book!), S is for Story: A Writer's Alphabet by Esther Hershenhorn is exactly the book for you! 

There are illustrations, poems, quotes, and lots of tips to help you get started or to expand your writing skills.  For example, under the letter "H," you can find ideas about heroes and heroines from some famous books.
