Honoring Our Soldiers on Memorial Day

The Library will be closed Monday, May 27th, in observance of Memorial Day.

Memorial Day is a time to remember and honor those men and women soldiers who have died during military service to our country. Want to learn more? Use the Encyclopedias in Live-brary.com for Kids and find an abundance of online articles and encyclopedia entries on the topic.

75th Anniversary of the Caldecott Medal

This year we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Randolph Caldecott Award!
Each year, the Caldecott Medal is awarded to the illustrator of the most distinguished picture book for children published in the United States during the previous year. New Website of the Month! - Click Magazine

Did you know that you can find Click magazine online and at the library?

If you are 3-6 years old, this magazine is just right for you. 'Click the Mouse' and 'Beatrice Bear' are some of the characters you will find inside. Each character has a favorite book.

There are photos, games, coloring, activities, scrapbooks, and a Bookshelf to explore. You can even send in your own drawings to be posted in the Gallery!

Click magazine is also available in print! Come to the Children's Department @ CPL to see the new issue on display and other issues to borrow.
