New Website of the Month! - CAFE ZOOM

Cooking with your family is fun, and Cafe Zoom has over 150 recipes for you to prepare together!

There are simple recipes and also harder ones. Each recipe is printable and has a picture of the finished dish.

To get started, ask an adult to cook with you. Then, choose a Snack, Drink, Main Course, or Dessert and let the yummy fun begin!

The library will be closed on Tuesday, November 11 in honor of Veterans Day.

Cover to Cover Book Discussion


Students in grades 4 & 5 are invited to join us on Monday, October 27 from 6-8pm for the book discussion program, Cover to Cover

Register in person to pick up the book and then come back on 10/27 to munch on chips and dip while discussing the book Framed by Gordon Korman. Not only that, but enjoy some football themed games and create a football table game to take home.

Do You Have the Smartest Card?

A library card is the smartest card in your wallet! It gives you access to free books, movies, music, homework help, eBook and audio book downloads, and so much more. If you don't have a library card, ask a parent to bring you to the library this September so you can sign up for one. 

Wait, because it gets better! Throughout the month of September, all new or existing Comsewogue Public Library cardholders are eligible to enter a raffle drawing. Winners will receive a 4-pack of tickets to the Long Island Aquarium and Exhibition Center. 

To obtain a library card, two (2) current proofs of residency, each containing your name and street address, are required. Children must be present to get a library card.

How can kids and families prepare for extreme events?

At Disaster Master, you can learn how to prepare by playing games and printing out mini-graphic-novels!

'Hero' kid characters will help you explore 8 types of events: Wildfire, Tornado, Hurricane/Blackout,  Home Fire, Winter Storm/Extreme Cold, Tsunami/Earthquake, Thunderstorm/Lightning, and The Hot Seat.
