Last Day to Record Book Titles: 7/31/14

Thursday is the last day to record book titles onto your official Summer Reading Club Title Chart. 

So, hurry in and stop by the special Summer Reading Club table in the Children's Department.

After completing the requirements, you can pick up the prizes you have earned as well as an invitation to the Summer Reading Club Extravaganza!

Happy Batman Day!

DC Comics has declared July 23rd as Batman Day! 

In celebration, the Comsewogue Public Library is giving away Batman goody bags to the first 50 children to visit the Children's & Teen Services Desk today. Each goody bag contains a poster, a tattoo and an awesome Batman mask!

While you're here, pick up a Batman book or movie. Click here to browse our catalog holdings now and place a reserve.

Almost 200 years ago, a boy named Louis Braille invented a way to read by touching bumps on a page!


Visit Braille Bug to explore the Braille alphabet code, games, rhymes, riddles, secret messages, and information about Louis Braille. You can also explore the Helen Keller Kids' Museum Online and learn about a famous 'Champion of the Blind.'
