Free Dental Screening

In celebration of National Children's Dental Health Month in February, members of the Suffolk County Dental Society are hosting a special event at the Long Island Aquarium.  This event will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2016.  Children, ages 1-17 (w/a parent or legal guardian), will receive each of the following for FREE:
  • Admission to the aquarium (plus one free adult admission per child)
  • Children's dental screening, cleaning & fluoride treatment
  • Goodie bag
  • Dental sealants (if appropriate)
  • Puppet show and dental health education throughout the day
  • Lionel Train exposition
  • Eligibility to enter the Tooth Fairy drawing contest

Website of the Month for October!

It’s fun to explore art and learn about artists by playing Getty Games

At this website, you can play Detail Detective, turn over ‘cards’ in Match Madness, find things that don’t match in Switch, or choose to use big or small pieces in Jigsaw Puzzles.  Click on the book icons to learn more about the art.

Before you know it, you will be familiar with famous works of art from the Getty Museum!  Then, learn to create your own works of art on bookmarks and masks.

What's Cooler Than Being Cool?

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month!



Stop in anytime during the month of September and show a Librarian your new or existing Comsewogue Public Library card and enter a raffle for a chance to win tickets to the Long Island Aquarium and Exhibition Center, Long Island Game Farm or a raffle basket! 


To obtain a library card, (2) current proofs of residency, each containing your name and street address, are required. Children must be present to get a library card.

So, hurry in and stop at the Superhero Headquarters to fill in your chart.

As you reach new reading milestones, you will earn prizes and stickers.

Celebrating Mothers @ CPL!


This week at CPL, students in grades K through 5 created wreaths for Mother's Day. If you missed this program, not to worry, we have tons of craft books you can borrow to find another great project you can do at home! Just visit Children's and Teen Services at CPL and ask a Librarian for help. Or, search our catalog now.




Also, be sure to stop by before the week is over and pick up a book from our Mother's Day display. Bring it home to share with your mom or another special woman in your life!
