New Website of the Month! - The Adventures of Herman

As children are continuing to sign up for our "Dig Into Reading" summer reading clubs, we thought the month of July would be the perfect time for you to learn all about worms!  

So, take some time and visit The Autobiography of Squirmin' Herman the Worm to learn about worm history, families, bodies, homes, and how worms spend their time.

Make sure to visit the Worm Deli to read Herman's yummy and yucky "Chow List," Herman's Fun Place to play wormy games, and Worm Facts to learn 16 important things about worms.

Dig Into Reading This Summer!

There is still time for children, entering grade 5 and younger, to sign up for this year's Summer Reading Club. Watch this short video for so many great reasons to join!

Record Your Summer Reading on July 2nd!

Tuesday, July 2nd is the first day to record Summer Reading Club book titles onto your official Title Chart at the library. Visit the special table in the Children's Department to record your reading and start earning prizes!

Drop-in Programs This Summer

Don't want to register in advance for programs this summer? Not to worry! We have created a series of Summer Drop-in Programs for children, 12 months to entering grade K with a caregiver.

No registration is required, just show your Comsewogue library card upon arrival to the program. Click here to view our "Summer Drop-in Programs" flyer now.

Go to the Movies for a Dollar!

Have you read Mr. Popper's Penguins, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, or Dr Seuss' The Lorax? How would you like to see each of these movies in the theatre for only a dollar?!

Beginning June 25th, Regal Cinemas in Deerpark will be showing $1 movies for kids on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 10am. Click here for complete details.
